About Hotel Andaluz

Andaluz – short for Andalucían – evokes the passion and pride of the region of Spain that has inspired the hotel’s décor and architectural style. The four interlocking A’s of the logo reflect an adaptation of classic Andalucían tile. Look for the logo in the traditional Andalucían arch that graces the hotel’s public spaces.

Hotel Andaluz has a rich history as a downtown Albuquerque Hotel. It opened in 1939 as the first hotel in New Mexico constructed by New Mexico native Conrad Hilton. Click here for more of history of Hotel Andaluz.

While under renovation, the ownership was determined to incorporate many green initiatives into the building.

  • Furnishings, equipment, and demolition debris were recycled and documented throughout the process
  • The hotel generates approximately 60% of its guest room hot water using solar energy
  • Interior finishes have been carefully selected to incorporate LEED approved natural and low VOC emissions products
