Golfing Options in Albuquerque New Mexico
Didn’t think you could golf in the desert? Think again! You’d better bring your clubs because Albuquerque has multiple courses for you to play. What’s more, these aren’t just average courses – several of the courses here have been ranked by Golf and Digest Magazine as some of the best in the entire country! Some might expect desert scrub and a few green fairways, but that is most certainly not the case!
In fact, you’ll find a lot of gorgeous green with native flowers, mountain vistas, warm days, and blue skies that go on forever. So which course should you go to? There are plenty to choose from, so start making your wish list.
The Twin Warrior Golf Club offers players a high-desert golfing experience and an absolutely beautiful view of the Sandia Mountains (so beware of getting distracted!).
The Paa-Ko Ridge Golf Club has been given a five-star rating by Golf Digest – one of only 17 courses in the country to achieve such a feat. Located on the eastern side of the Sandia Mountains, it takes its name from the nearby 14th century ruins.
The Sandia Golf Club isn’t even ten years old, but it didn’t take long for it to end up in Golf Magazine – along with its pro shop, which earned notice from Gold World Business as one of America’s best golf shops.
How about playing beside a dormant volcano? That’s what Isleta Eagle Golf Course can offer you, along with the Rio Grande and its quaint cottonwoods. And for a real treat for the eyes, there’s the Santa Ana Golf course, complete with crystalline lakes, native grasses, and photo-worthy views no matter which direction you look.
And those are just a few of the courses that Albuquerque has to offer!
