Earth Day in Albuquerque

Earth Day in Albuquerque

Planet Earth needs our compassion and our help – and Albuquerque is ready to do its part!

Children and adults alike can learn how to make the planet a better, cleaner, and healthier place to live this Earth Day at the ABQ BioPark. Though Earth Day is officially April 22nd, the BioPark will have their celebration on Saturday, April 26th so parents and children can all attend! From 10am to 2pm, there will be plenty to see, do, and learn at every area of the BioPark.

The Zoo, Aquarium, Botanic Garden, and Tingley Beach will all feature informational areas that will help teach people how they can help both plants and animals, as well as offering great hands-on activities and discovery stations for even more fun. Keepers will also offer talks and special demonstrations, which can include animals so viewers will have a better understanding of the world around them and their place in it. Even if every person who visits only makes a tiny change in their daily life to make the earth better, it will have a huge impact – exactly what Earth Day is for!

A few of the events that will be available include the Children’s Seed Festival, Animal Encounters Show, Coral Reef Feeding, Shark Feeding, and more!

The price to attend the Earth Day event doesn’t cost any extra – just pay the general admission and enjoy! But even better, ride a bike to the BioPark and receive an additional $2 off admission for starting off the event in an earth-friendly way!
