Summer in Albuquerque is Coming
Summer means bright sunshine, warm weather, good food, and great fun. There are so many things to do in Albuquerque, it’s a fantastic place to go for a vacation or summer getaway, whether you’re on your own or have an entire family to entertain.
The events in summer alone are an excellent reason to visit Albuquerque. There is so much to see and do – perhaps you would like to start off your Albuquerque summer visit with the Film & Media Experience at Nob Hill on June 2nd. Keep it going with the Heights Summerfest on June 14th. Get your geek on with the Comic Expo on June 27th. Charge into yet another Summerfest on August 9th – the Downtown Summerfest. Finish off the summer with the Rebel Donut Dash on August 30th. These are but a few of the events hosted in the city throughout the summer, so make sure to check out the full list for even more great stuff!
If festivals and expos aren’t your style, there’s still a lot to do and things to see in the city. The Albuquerque BioPark is a fantastic place to visit, especially with children. From the zoo to the aquarium and everything in between, the BioPark is a place that is full of animals, life, activities, and informational treats. Most cities simply boast a small zoo, but the BioPark is so much more than that.
Looking for something even more active? Hiking on trails throughout areas around the city can keep you occupied for hours on end. Make sure to bring water, and why not go up using the Sandia Peak Tramway for an excellent view of the city and surrounding landscape?
At the end of the day, kick back and watch a movie at the historic KiMo Theatre or soak in the nightlife along the city streets. Then get ready for a brand new day with even more to do!
